Editorial standards
Clear about how we review.
Useful recommendations begin with evidence you can understand.

Research you can check
Reviews and guides draw on independent lab measurements, manufacturer specifications, consumable prices and yields, and reports from owners. Each article lists its sources. Review scores summarize that published evidence using the criteria and benchmarks on our How we score page. If we ever test a printer ourselves, the article will say so and describe how.
Explain the tradeoffs
Every recommendation says who a printer suits and where it falls short. We weigh consumables, maintenance, space, and the task, not just the purchase price.
Keep the details current
Each article shows when its facts were last checked. We revisit guides when models are replaced, prices or supplies change meaningfully, or new evidence changes a recommendation.
What our pictures show
Product photos come from the manufacturers. Article covers and section images are AI-generated illustrations. They never depict a specific real printer, so they are not evidence of how any product looks or performs.
A clear route for corrections
Send corrections through our contact page with the article and a source we can check. We fix confirmed errors promptly and update the article.
